Born Ariadna Thalía Sodi Miranda on August 26, 1971 in Mexico City, Mexico.
She started to perform with the musical child group Din Din. In 1986, she replaced the original female vocalist of the group Timbiriche.
She starred in some soap operas. She starred in what its called 'Maria Trilogy' titled: 'María Mercedes' (1992), 'Marimar' (1994) and 'María la del Barrio' (1995) which give her the title 'Queen of Telenovelas'. She appeared in her last soap opera in 1999 in 'Rosalinda'.
In 1990, she started her solo career with the released of her self-titled album 'Thalía' followed by 'Mundo de Cristal' (1991) and 'Love' (1992). Emilio Estefan produced her 'En Éxtasis' album in 1995, which is her first album released outside Mexico. She released her successful album 'Amor a la Mexicana' in 1997 and followed by 'Arrasando' in 2000. Her English cross-over album was 'Thalía' released in 2003.
Thalía also has a clothing line in Kmart named 'Thalía Sodi Collection' and eyewear collection in Kenmart.
She is married to Thomas D. Mottola. They were married in St. Patrick's Cathedral in New York on December 2, 2000. They had their first child together on October 7, 2007, a daughter, named Sabrina Sakaë.
She just recently released her latest album, after 2 years, titled 'Lunada'.
