About Q. Rush
Born and raised in Haughton, Louisiana, Pop-oriented R&B singer Q.Rush (born Quinton Rushing) had an incredible knack for music from the start. As a child playing on his grandmother's piano, he taught himself how to play by ear and began composing and performing songs for his family, his church and various local venues. Seeing as how his family didn't feel music was a realistic dream, Q began to pursue alternate goals, never completely letting go of his musical dream. He later moved to Dallas, Texas where he enrolled at The Art Institute of Dallas for Advertising Design, only to drop out once he teamed up with the local label Big Beau Records. Q began producing and performing with the label and later on teamed up with composer/producer Jordan Aveline Blair of Rewind Publishing Group. This meeting marked the start of a fruitful relationship, as the two began production of Q's debut album "The Take Ova". The much-anticipated album includes guest appearances by L.A.R.G.O. of Survivor Series Label Group, Viseroi. The Dream Team, and Cory Bold and more and is scheduled to be released 2009.
